The vineyard
Château de Salettes, a great wine from Gaillac
The vineyard estate of Château de Salettes
The Château de Salettes, built on a rocky spur in the 13th century, is surrounded by its 10 hectares of vineyards. Facing southwest, on a clay-limestone soil highly conducive to vine cultivation, it benefits from an exceptional geo-climatic situation. Under François I, Salettes white wine was already on the table of the King of France.
Salettes, the cradle of the millennium-old Gaillac vineyard, continues today to give birth to quality wines with the complicity of the La Croix des Marchands estate.

Located in the Tarn department, the Gaillac appellation area covers 3,500 hectares spread over 73 municipalities for an AOC production of over 165,000 hectoliters. The diversity of terroirs and the age of the vineyard allow it to present a wide variety of elaborated wines
